In short: Halal (or "conservative") hotels on the Antalya coast are family beach resorts that serve no alcohol, offer halal food, and have women-only pools, beaches and spas, with dress rules in mixed areas. They are not all alike, so ask the five questions below before booking. Many are outside Antalya city, on the coast between Side and Alanya.

What makes a hotel halal?

  • No alcohol: some serve none anywhere; others only keep part of the hotel alcohol-free. Ask: "the whole hotel, or one restaurant?"
  • Women-only pools and beach: an indoor or outdoor pool, a spa, and sometimes a screened women-only beach. Not every halal hotel has a private ladies' beach.
  • Swimwear: modest swimwear (a burkini for women) is usually required in mixed pools and on mixed beaches.
  • Halal food in the restaurants, and children's activities and water slides at most.

Examples on the Antalya coast

  • Selge Beach Resort: in Kızılağaç near Manavgat and Side. According to booking listings: no alcohol served anywhere, a women-only beach, indoor and outdoor pools and spa, a kids' club and a family pool with slides.
  • Wome Deluxe: in Avsallar, Alanya. According to booking listings: alcohol-free with halal food only, a family beach and a ladies' beach, and separate spas for women and men.

These are hotels where we arranged family offers in summer 2025; details come from booking listings and can change by season, so we confirm them with the hotel for every booking.

Five questions before booking

1. Is the whole hotel alcohol-free, or only some areas?
2. Do women have a screened beach, or only a pool?
3. Are the pools open on your dates? (Many open roughly April to November.)
4. What is the dress rule in the mixed pool and beach?
5. Which activities suit your children's ages?

What to visit from the hotel

  • Antalya city: the old town Kaleiçi, Düden waterfalls and the old harbour. Antalya old city and waterfalls tour
  • Kurşunlu Waterfall: a nature park about 20 km from central Antalya; swimming is not allowed.
  • The Land of Legends: a water and theme park in Belek, a full day for children.

When to go

Summer (June–September) is the season for the sea and pools; spring and autumn are calmer and better for tours. Check outdoor pool dates if you travel at the start or end of the season.

FAQ

What is the difference between a halal hotel and a "Muslim-friendly" one?

A halal hotel bans alcohol and sets aside women-only areas; a "Muslim-friendly" hotel may only offer halal food. Ask about the details, not the label.

Are halal hotels good for children?

Most are: kids' clubs, family pools and water slides.
